The Mediterranean backyard is more formal and manicured than a tropical backyard. Most vegetable gardens are still miniature variations of outdated family farm plots with sq. or rectangular beds, but the kitchen garden is completely different not solely in its history, but in addition its design. We work with landscapers on all sizes of backyard and business exterior transformations. It met my expectations for a) describing varied designs and options of the Mediterranean garden, b) figuring out various Mediterranean vegetation and their necessities, c) illustrating various groupings for various effects, and d) offering planting directions.
Spectacular architectural crops dominate the Mediterranean garden, making this exceptional fan- shaped leaved palm tree the ideal choice. Native plants can be a waterwise addition to a Mediterranean backyard theme. We then added three keynote varieties to the panorama to create a Houston equivalent of a Mediterranean garden. Lemons and Citrus bushes grown in pots are nice sensible accessories for landscaping this model of garden.
Then we gave the panorama a slight grade from one finish of the design to the opposite for the water to drain away. It includes two main traditions: formal rectilinear planting design (Persia and Europe); and formal asymmetrical (Asia) and naturalistic planting design. The tall spires of Italian cypress provide a sense of order and ritual to a tumbling, exuberant backyard.
